SALES POSITION

We are looking for a motivated person to help our team set goals, look at data, sell to new customers, and help create training opportunities for our tree crew. This position will work with our customers to address concerns, budget projects, and determine ways to streamline and improve the current sales process.

  • The skills and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Experience working with Excel and Word.
  • Experience setting goals for a team and motivating the team to meet them.
  • Experience in creating and managing budgets and estimates
  • Experience and desire to review and make changes as necessary to current sales process.
  • A positive attitude for interacting with customers.
  • Must be an ISA Certified Arborist or have a Forestry Degree.
  • Must have a current drivers license and be able to pass a drug test.

Job location: Leesburg, VA

Hours per week: Full or Part Time

CLIMBER POSITION


Tree trimmers need to use a variety of techniques to prune, trim, and remove branches from trees for aesthetics or to make an area safer if the tree is posing a potential threat. We expect potential trimmers to be familiar with the tools necessary to do their jobs effectively.

At Donegan’s it’s vital that those working on the trees can interact with property owners to ensure they are happy with the work being completed.

The skills and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience and knowledge of pruning trees.
  • Strong knowledge of tying and specific uses for tree-industry knots.
  • Safety for all types of equipment used (Chipper, Stump Grinder, Chain Saw).
  • Keeping tools in the staging area and safe zone.
  • Having a positive attitude for interacting with the customers on site.
  • Must have a current drivers license and be able to pass a drug test.

Hours per week: 40

Salary range: $28-$35/hour

GROUNDSMAN POSITION
 

This position will work to make sure that the team observes all safety issues involved in tree work. This person in this role will also need the necessary skills that support the work performed by the tree crew, allowing a smooth flow of productivity at the job-site.

The skills and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong knowledge of tying and specific uses for tree-industry knots.
  • Safety for all types of equipment used (Chipper, Stump Grinder, Chain Saw).
  • Being a reliable member of the team responsive to visual cues and hand signals from the climber and acting promptly with ground support.
  • Keeping the work area clear of debris, cleaning up limbs and branches as they are brought down in tree cutting work. Raking the area clear to maintain the safety zone.
  • Lining up branches and piling appropriately for loading into the chipper.
  • Keeping tools in the staging area and safe zone.
  • Assuring that all lines are kept clear at all times.
  • Being attentive to the climber’s cues throughout the job, always keeping their eyes on the climber.
  • Having a positive attitude for interacting with the customers on site.
  • Must have a current drivers license and be able to pass a drug test.

Salary range: $15-$18/hour
